Not sure if it's allowed to post this, but I wanted to mention that currently on Comixology, the digital version of the first issue of The Old Guard is free, and the first volume is on sale for 5.99 USD (regularly 12.99).

(I am not affiliated with comixology in any way; I just like seeing how adaptations follow (or don't follow) the source material.

I'd recommend grabbing the freebie first, tbh. The first few pages definitely have a different tone than the opening of the movie.

I've heard that, actually - [personal profile] lilacsigil has read some early issues, I think? Or whatever there was before the movie came out, and she said it is quite different.

I have liked a lot of Greg Rucka's stuff before, though. I'm definitely willing to give it a try.
