I started out with a vague notion to put together a ladies kicking ass mix with a lot of uptempo neo-soul, funk and R&B. And then it morphed into...this. The theme presented itself via the songs, several of which were released this year.

I guess I've been feeling contemplative lately.

Should I put together that earlier idea for an Andy and Nile fanmix, I'll post it here. :)

Great mix! All of these were new to me except for the Tom Waits song and the two Mountain Goats one, and they were delightful discoveries. I'd definitely be here for it if the other fanmix idea comes to fruition. :D

Excellent! I'm glad you enjoyed. Quite a few songs/artists were new to me as well. (This has been a good year for new music. Silver linings and all that.)
