We're not meant to be alone.

I know everything’s a bit of a trashfire at the moment, but even more so we need things to look forward to. Maybe even something related to our favorite immortal assassins? 🤗

Don’t know about you all, but I love advent calendars. There’s just something about having a small surprise waiting for you every day. And so I’d like to try that here, with hopefully 25 days filled with treats of some kind!

How does it work?
If you’d like to make a fanwork or two, sign up in the comments using the template provided. Comments will be screened to preserve the surprise factor, but a list of the creators as they sign up will be added to the bottom of the post :)

You will then be assigned a day (or two, if you’d like to double dip!) for posting your entry.

What can I submit?
Any and all things related to The Old Guard is more than welcome. Fanworks come in all shapes and forms. They also do not have to be related to the holidays. All we ask is that it is not posted elsewhere before the reveal.

Some examples: fic, filk, vids, graphics, podfic, handcrafts, fan art, themed red lists, meta, picspams, sonnet, fanmix, etc. Hell, make some gingerbread cookies and decorate them to look like the characters :D

I know we're all scattered about various platforms nowadays, but the holidays are the perfect time to come together. By hosting all the works on the_old_guard I'm hoping to foster a real sense of community, where we all get to hang out in the same posts and flail about a bit, like in the lj days of yore. You are of course welcome to put your fanwork up elsewhere after the reveal.

When?
This will be running from the 1st of December to the 25th. Fingers crossed we can fill every day, but if not we’ll spread it out. I’ll do my best to adhere to your preferred times when scheduling.
