where to start?

So I own the comics already but haven't gotten around to reading them yet, and now the movie is available, so this might be the right place to ask: which first? Do I read the comics and then watch the movie, or the other way around? Opinions are appreciated. :D

I read the comics well before the film, so I'm a little biased, but I think that's the way to go. The adaptation is quite faithful, but there are some changes, and I found knowing much of the story but not being sure where the divergences would come very enjoyable. That said, the art style in the comics is not for everyone and there is more backstory for everyone in the comics, so if you watch the film first you can do a deeper dive with the comics after.

I do strongly recommend, if you read the comics first, not reading the second volume until you watch the film.

Oh I did already flip through, I really don't mind the art style. :D (I bought the first volume after a yuletide rec some time ago and then... forgot, lol.) And noted, I start with Vol. 1 and wait with Vol. 2 until after I watched the movie. Thanks!

Yeah, I really like the writing, but I'm finding the art quite hard to follow. It's really dynamic, though, almost movie-like just on the page!
