OK - I’ve seen a wonderful post by justqueerious and discussion over on Tumblr full of theories about how Quynh’s necklace ends up with Andy.

But has anyone posted anything about Joe’s necklace or the rings he (sometimes) wears on his right/left hands?

Certainly in some of the later shots in the film there seems to be a ring on his left index finger and right ring finger (or reverse depending on how they’ve fliped the shots when filming).

The necklace is visible just after Merrick has tried to stab Joe - when he and Nicky bump heads - as it’s worn over his clothes, and again you can see it around his neck in the lab when he’s yelling about Booker being a pos.

The rings are visible in the truck scene when Joe’s reaching out to touch Nicky’s shoulder and wake him up, again when they’re kissing, and once again mid-fight scene in the lab when Joe reaches out to Nicky waiting for him to come around from being shot in the head.

There's 141 of you here - surely someone must be at least as curious as I am about this?

At first glance, I thought Joe's necklace was a dog tag, but it's a bit too long for that. It also looks like there's something printed on it - maybe it's a printed script necklace like this? I can see that appealing to him.

Interestingly, he's not wearing the necklace in the scene right before he and Nicky get kidnapped, although he is wearing the rings. Although looking at it now, I'm not sure there is more than one ring - it looks like just one really tall one.

On now that's a good thought for the necklace - and on every gif that I can zoom in on it looks very similar. Thank you!

I think in this pic it's easy to see the two rings and I think you are right! The one on his ring finger does look like a really tall ring. *G*

Interestingly when they wake up in response to Nile's nightmare in the safe house the one on his ring finger is gone, but the one on his index finger is there - there's a shot where it catches the light.

And again the narrow band of the index finger ring is easier to see in this gif.

There's also an HQ image of the kissing scene out there (which I guess must be a rehearsal shot) because he's not wearing any rings.

It is possible I may have spent far too much time today staring at gifs and pics of Marwan's hands. *G*

I've been wondering why no one seems to be talking about his necklace, because I'm desperately curious for someone to figure it out and explain it! All I got is that it's definitely not dog tags.
